The Grandmother knife is a hobby knife with a forged carbon steel blade. The finnish name "Mummunhammas" (Grandma's tooth) comes from the past when the elderly used knives to mince food after they had lost their teeth. The Grandmother knife has a birch handle coated with linseed oil and ensures a firm grip even when wet. A handcrafted sheath made from tanned leather comes with the knife. Smaller handle is more suitable for smaller hands. Some have been told to use it also when hunting mooses.
